Privacy on yojin.io

The short version

This website uses no advertising trackers or cookies. If you allow analytics, Pirsch measures visits so we can understand which pages are useful. Pirsch does not load before you choose Allow analytics. Contact-form data is used only to reply to you.

Who is responsible

Yōjin is the controller for personal data processed through this site. For any privacy matter, contact hello@yojin.io.

What we collect, and why

  • Contact form. Name, work email, company, and your message. We process these to respond to your enquiry (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The form is relayed by a serverless function hosted in the EU and delivered to our mailbox by an EU transactional-email service. It is not added to any marketing list.
  • Server logs. Our EU hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.
  • Website analytics, if you allow them. We use Pirsch Analytics, provided by Emvi Software GmbH in Germany, to measure visits and understand which pages are useful. Pirsch processes the page path, referrer, campaign fields, language, visit time, browser, operating system, country, city and device type. We disable screen-resolution collection. Pirsch creates a short-lived visitor identifier from the IP address, user agent, date and a site-specific salt. It does not store the IP address; the identifier changes within 24 hours and cannot be matched across websites. We rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw that consent through Analytics settings in the footer.
  • Analytics preference. Your browser stores your allow or decline choice and its date for up to 180 days. This preference stays on your device and is used only to remember your choice.

What we don't do

  • No analytics request before you consent.
  • No cross-site tracking or advertising profiles.
  • No advertising or third-party cookies.
  • No transfer of your data outside the EU/EEA.
  • No sale of your data or sharing for another organisation's purposes.

Retention

Contact enquiries are kept as ordinary business correspondence for as long as the conversation is live, and deleted when no longer needed.

Analytics data is retained for up to 24 months. Your analytics preference expires after 180 days, when we ask you again.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or object to processing, and you can lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Write to hello@yojin.io and we'll act on it.
